Current engineering UG students

If you're already studying your Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) at Monash but were not eligible or didn’t select the accelerated masters pathway when you first applied, it's not too late.

As long as you achieve a Weighted Average of 75% by the end of level 2 of your Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) you can apply for the masters pathway.

Before the final year of your undergraduate course choose your specialisation for your destination masters and decide which four level five units aligned to that area of specialisation to take as your electives.

Start your Masters in third year to complete both courses in less time. These units will be concurrently credited against your Masters effectively reducing the load in fifth year from eight to four units.

How to Apply

If you are in the BEng(Hons) single degree, meet the eligibility criteria above, and would like to be considered for the BE(Hons)/ME Master's Accelerated Program, submit a request for course advice.

If you have completed Engineering level 3 and 4 technical electives, you will not be considered for the BE(Hons)/ME Master's Accelerated Program as you will not be able to accelerate.

Eligibility

To be eligible, you must be

  • currently studying the Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) at Monash in one of the specialisations available in the master's pathway
  • must have completed 96 credit points and are not in the Biomedical Engineering or Software Engineering specialisation
  • attain a Weighted Average of 75% by the end of level 2

Reduced fees for alumni

Monash offers alumni who completed their undergraduate studies in the last five years a 10% discount on full-fee courses. The 10% discount is applied to your course fees for each semester, and applies to the first 48 credit points of a master’s program.
