I wanted to present the idea that 'Everyone is involved in fostering an equitable community'.

The diverse group of people in this painting around the equal symbol are all playing a role to raise each other up. I wanted to show that you can do your part to advocate for equality by taking the time to educate yourself and those around you, giving someone a boost to rise up, giving them a hand to reach higher or creating pathways (like the ladder) to increase their opportunity to elevate their quality of life.
