In a world where labels and judgments prevail, this artwork represents as a visceral testament to the profound importance, and need of diversity and inclusivity in our society. The absence of individual faces leaves room for every viewer to project their own experiences and perceptions. The silhouettes are also a universal representation of humanity, who can at times get really caught up in the politics of identity. Each silhouette is an individual, yet belongs to everyone, an embodiment of the shared essence that transcends race, gender, religion, and every divisive label we impose upon one another. The ‘noisy’ waves in the background represent the hidden chaos and struggles, that coexist with these labels. Behind the face, behind their ‘perceived’ identity, is a person who would like to be seen for who she is. Not for how she looks, but for what value she can add to society. For what she can do as a human. "Faceless Identities" is about a message of inclusion and understanding. It implores one to look past the labels and judgments that divide us, to see the humanity in every faceless identity, to embrace the richness that diversity brings to our world, and in the process make the world a better place to live in.
