Designing AI for aged care: how to increase trust and compliance in new technology
About the project
Artificial intelligence can significantly improve the quality of aged care, yet mistrust from its end users is one of the biggest roadblocks hindering advancement.
Older Australians are hesitant to embrace the capabilities of AI leading to a lack of data required to enhance the technology. This project aims to address this issue by designing a user-centric model that focuses on building end-user trust with AI.
Our researchers determine end users’ views on current and future AI projects in aged care while demystifying the design and implementation of AI projects to ensure it’s trusted by the elderly. We’re bridging the gap between the promise of the potential of technology and the needs of end users to empower our target community.
