FIT1073 - Game Design
FIT1073: Game Design
This unit provides a foundation in the theoretical and practical principles of game design and game narrative structures in the games development process. Using the principles taught in this unit, students design innovative game applications as working paper based game prototypes. The combination of theory, practice and peer interaction is geared to equip students with the skills not only to design innovative games, but also to critique existing games and original game ideas.
Assignment 3
Students work in small teams to create a paper prototype of one or more levels and a game design document for their game concept. This playable prototype is demonstrated through playtest sessions to refine game mechanics and balance gameplay.
