Interactive Oracle Proofs of Proximity (IOPP) is shown to be a suitable model for efficient and scalable zero-knowledge argument systems. Fast RS IOPP (FRI) protocol is a core component of Scalable Transparent ARgument of Knowledge (STARK) protocols. This talk looks into some of the math behind an extension of FRI, namely DEEP (Domain Extending for Eliminating Pretenders) FRI.
