Mai went to a British international school while growing up, had a few friends still living in London, and always wanted to move to a global cultural and economic hub to start her career. Mai came to Australia as an international student, so she couldn’t stay without sponsorship, and decided to make the move to London.

Mai’s best advice for Monash graduates moving to London is to make connections with your fellow Monash alumni. “Everyone knows someone in London, but don’t just stick to the friends you already have. Join book clubs, sports teams and industry initiatives outside of work to grow your circles, and really take advantage of the variety of groups that exist here. You’ll be surprised by how many Monash graduates you will cross paths with.”

Now based in London, Mai works as associate product marketing manager at Google.
