Freedom of Information
The Freedom of Information Act 1982 (Victoria) gives persons the right to access documents of a Victorian government department, council and prescribed authority in certain circumstances and subject to some specified exemptions.
Monash University is a prescribed authority within the meaning of the Freedom of Information Act 1982.
The Office of the General Counsel processes Freedom of Information requests.
All requests for access to documents pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act must be made in writing and either sent by email to foi@monash.edu or by post to the address listed below:
