Throughout my third year, I have developed a strong interest and passion for housing in particular. This was driven by the memories I spent in Japan with my family back when I was young. Designing spaces where people make memories that eventually lead to a rich sense of belonging is something I want to keep pursuing.
This project has been done in collaboration with Chelsea Pace, and Yanis Newman-Pache. I am proud to work with such an amazing team this semester.

Garden of Homes - Collage of a view
This collage shows the interior of a module for multi-generational families. As you get out of the apartment unit, there is a beautiful landscape of native greenery spread out. Living in this complex, there is always a sense of connection to nature, people, and land.
Garden of Homes - Ground Floor Plan
The project is situated within Bentleigh off of Centre Road by Bentleigh Station, and it has been divided into 3 distinct areas. Senior/Student housing, public engagement gardens, and multi-generational living.
While considering our project, we wanted to focus our attention on making the shared areas as welcoming as we could.
The level of community spaces with diverse Australian plants - encourage social interaction among the different demographic inhabitants and enriches everyday life.
Garden of Homes - Perspective Section
The section cut through units of a multi-generational family. The ground floor has a variety of shops that connects the building’s main access with the public street space. Not only for the residents but it is also made available for neighborhood groups and other public uses to encourage social interactions among citizens in the Bentleigh community.
