SIMILARITY
Each entrance shares a similar aesthetic creating a welcoming entrance for everyone occupant.
Memorial Flower Wall
The entrance to the memorial garden is bounded by a perforated brick wall which encourages visitors to water the plants.
Church Memorial Garden
A garden with sunken seating areas that can be transformed into a ceremonial space and a place to remember. The laneway of the church 'Dead Man's Laneway' has a strong history of homeless men. The memorial garden and laneway are bounded by the perforated brick wall. The perforations symbolize those who once slept at the laneway and who have passed away.
Water Retaining Space Frame
The water space frame is the main source the memorial garden gets its water.
Maker-Space
The Maker Space is of close proximity to the memorial garden. This allows for workers in the makers-space to go outside and have a break, avoiding constantly looking at white walls.

Distinction between building entrances and program entrances
In the spirit of reconciliation Monash University acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community. We pay our respect to their elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.
