A housing study that addresses the need for immediate shelter and a transition to permanent living over time. 12m2 employs a clear span gable shed typology that investigates prefabrication methods using standard industry components. The system of prefabrication provides not only a solution to complex conditions of site, but also responds to a variety of needs at both the community and individual scale. 12m2 responds to the immediate agricultural context of the region and provides a unique opportunity for diverse flexibility of program and zoning within, allowing for variation and transition from temporary to permanence.
