Noah is a graduating student of the Master of Architecture.
The hemp house project seeks to explore alternative construction material and its performance. Specifically hemp-based interlocking construction materials are investigated as a possible replacement for load-bearing structures such as concrete or brick. The modular systems replicate the dimensions of standard materials to allow for a seamless transition between hemp block and other available materials. The goal is to determine how a sustainable and holistic architecture can be supported by pre-fabrication and the integration of industrial systems that can produce and maintain these modules walls.

Hempblocks can also be utilized as a bespoke elements within the project. With the integration of advance technology such as 3D printing of hemp fibre, there are a wide range of possibility for creating new aesthetics that intergrade low embodied carbon material. The façade of the block can be modified to the preference of the clients as shown in the diagram below.
