Outstanding Project: 'Collaborative Cities'
Collaborative Cities
‘Collaborative cities’ was a facilitated 3-hour workshop where we took the first-year design cohort through the Dfab Lab induction process. So students could implement the learning, we designed an illuminated cityscape that could only be completed with each student's laser cut shape. The workshop was a mutually beneficial learning process.
The Waste Project
The Waste Project intends to localise the issue of littering and waste creation. It's easy to misunderstand how big the problem is because its effects aren't always obvious here in Australia. The project intends to situate and humanise our involvement with the problem by visualising waste on a local scale.
In the spirit of reconciliation Monash University acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community. We pay our respect to their elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.
