Annalise Galea

My campaign is designed to bring awareness to the negative effects of everyday sexism on not only women, but on everyone. My own beliefs and interests have led me to want to explore this concept and develop it into the campaign for this project. Everyday sexism, as the name suggests, happens on a daily basis and consists of the little comments and actions that stem from a broader issue.

T-Shirt and Tote Bag

I designed these two pieces so that the audience would be able to take home a piece of the campaign and continue spreading the message out in the real world. I deliberately kept the graphic elements simple and chose a plain white base to ensure that the audience will actually use the t-shirt and tote bag.

Poster Wall

This is a poster wall and goes hand in hand with the poster zine. The wall will be displayed for the audience and then the poster zine will be handed out to them. The bold colour palette and bold type were designed to be intriguing and draw people in, in an attempt to reach a wide audience.

Interactive Wall

This interactive wall features an information panel on the left and an interactive question on the right. The idea behind it is to boost audience involvement as a part of the campaign. After reading the definition of everyday sexism, users are to place a sticker on the yes or no side and my hopes are that majority of stickers will be on the yes side, therefore supporting my campaigns message.

Poster Zine

This A4 zine contains all of the posters included on the poster wall. I wanted to create another ‘take home’ piece for the audience in an attempt to continue spreading my campaigns message. The front cover was deliberately designed to match the aesthetic of the t-shirt and tote bag as all three items go together.
