Hello! My name is Emilia, but you can call me Emi. I’m an Australian/Polish multidisciplinary designer, however my particular interests lie within motion/animation and illustration. Courtesy of my head being in the clouds, I find enjoyment in storytelling and hence I like to incorporate narrative elements into my design works. For more information, please do visit my website.
Gratitude Art Journal - Mobile App
Featured is the Gratitude Art Journal mobile application. Users are encouraged to interact with the app everyday; typing in something that they are grateful for that day. Once completed, their entry is converted from text form into a simple image and added to their ‘art journal’. From there the user may wish to view their art journal or if they have completed many entries, they may wish to have their art journal printed out as an art piece. The mobile application has a playful and cartoony style, not only allowing for cohesiveness in the art journal, however also creates a sense that the audience is playing an indie-game, when in fact they are simply putting in gratitude entries.
Gratitude Art Journal - Poster
In order to begin to allow audience members to be advertised and encouraged toward being grateful every day, a large poster in which passer-bys whether driving or not may be able to view the poster. Those who are not driving may stop to use the QR code included on the poster which will direct them to download the app. (As the mobile app is only a prototype, when scanned the QR code will take you to my instagram page).
Gratitude Art Journal - Printed Art
As briefly explored with the Mobile App, when users have completed more than one entry in the art journal app, they then have the option to have their entries printed as an art piece. By allowing users to print their own journal entries, creates a sense of accomplishment and hence further encourages members to practice being grateful every day. Each image, that has been created from the users daily gratitude entries, uses solid colours and simple black or white lines to create a clean and cohesive art style.
'Search for the Stamp | Little Food Festival - Motion'
This piece was created for the 2023 Little Food Festival. It explores the idea of Food Miles through the context of Australian food labels/stamps. The motion design is colourful with a crayon-textured art style in order to appeal to a child audience. The information explored within the motion is easy to digest and can be viewed by all ages.
