Hi, I'm Mimi. My main fields of interest are motion design, illustration and branding. I love telling stories through visual media and the process of creating these narratives. For the Activation project, I explored potential methods to make art more approachable and accessible. The resulting outcome was a series of promotional materials for a library program aimed at children which would engage them in different art activities.
Poster
A poster promoting the library program, it features one of the two representative characters for the program. The poster is an effective low-cost answer to the question of how to publicise the initiative, particularly in spaces outside the library.
'Animation'
A short animation to be played on the screens in the library. It is also suitable for advertising the program on social media platforms which will enable it to reach a wider audience.

Apron
An apron to protect clothing from messier art mediums. It contains a pocket for holding any tools and materials. The upper half is printed with a sprout growing from a paint bucket.
Research Kit
As part of the research process for this project I developed a kit. This research kit asked participants to draw, take a photo, answer questions, and rate statements. The findings from this kit were then used to shape the outcomes.
In the spirit of reconciliation Monash University acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community. We pay our respect to their elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.
