Drones have widespread use in a variety of situations. With the ability to cover ground quickly from the air, collect information, assess damage as well conduct search and rescue missions. However, currently, drones have a number of limitations. Such as a; short flight time (20-30 minutes), they cannot share the same airspace as manned aircraft, and they struggle to fly in adverse conditions. As such, drones are not reaching their current potential in disaster relief and search and rescue situations. The aim of my design is to combat these limitations by allowing drones to operate at all times both in the air and on the ground.
