Focusing on a generation chronically online, I am fascinated by the blurring of reality fortified by young people's relationship with technology. Adolescents especially, have sought refuge within the limitless breadth of the internet, yet as these spaces have become heavily intertwined within the normalcy of today, how does this distort our perceptions and understandings of the physical world around us? This questioning of realities is central within my practice, which explores and questions society’s relationship with new media; addressing themes of surveillance, disconnection and distortion.
