This work consists of a series of images depicting black and white abstract forms. The images were created using modern photogram techniques and light-sensitive materials inside a darkroom. However, unlike modern photogram techniques, the shapes and forms inside each image were decided solely by chance. Thus, each image in the series is incredibly unique and no common shape, form or pattern can be found. Each image is 15x11 inches.
Self Reflection #13
This work is a series of 32 photographs, each a reflection of myself. The photographs depict different locations and objects where I found myself reflected within the space. Each image was shot on a film camera, and developed and printed in a darkroom. The images were printed through the filter of heavy paper, which created a hazy blur over each image. This is a manual process that is heavily influenced by human action, thus the images are imperfect and unique. Each image is approximately 12x9 cm.
