Manuela Machado Colling

My practise consists of a process-based, self-built and self-reliant body of work, which uses its own materials to suspend and physicalise itself. This intuitive making is a form of expanded drawing, in which the body is immersed throughout the process. My visual language consists of crocheting single stitch chains of wool, which are a variation of colours, textures, widths and lengths, and take effect as a materialisation of my thoughts and memories. This work is interested in responding to its environment and is an extension of my body in a moment in time; a diaristic and every growing ecosystem of moments.
