Paige Templeton is an emerging artist living and practicing on unceded Wurundjeri and Boonwurrung lands.
Her work demonstrates a saturated and transformative take to the everyday. By manipulating a range of mediums, she aims to portray a sense of gestural enthusiasm and lightness in her work. Her practice aims to foster her love of play through art to the audience.
My Dream Home
My Dream Home' is a multimedia sculpture in which the artist embodies the crow. The bird house skeleton is draped in lush velvet and dreamy cushioned exterior. Situating her home in the nest, the artist explores a variety of textured materials to create a shimmering, cozy and tactile space. This escapist work aims to draw the audience from outside their place of knowing and into somewhere magical.
