My name is Haruna and I am a graduated 3rd year student. I strongly believe that architecture is about finding the harmony between art, science, environment and technology and it is such a beautiful tool to brighten one’s life. Throughout my bachelor study, I focused on developing my concept and ideas to find the harmony which I believe something we as an architect should consider during the design developments. On my final semester of studio class, I had a chance to take practice involved studio and their studio. The studio theme was investigate the threshold and introduced the possible ideas for the affordable housing. I hope my final project can deliver my passions with this course.

Gateway to Possibility
Throughout this semester, I was interested to investigate footpath, corner conditions and how the interaction between people can be effective to provide the affordable housing. My design located in Fitzroy which is known as street arts which made me decide my user group as artists. Artists do struggles to find their identity and showcase their artwork. My concept is about the footpath between 2 different things and the interaction between public to private. I do believe that footpath does not need to be a corridor but it can be a space that was created with something. I hope that this threshold of footpath and the moments will create some great chance for their future.

Exploded Axonometric Drawing
Part of my concept is about creating the connections between people to people and public to private, I believe having this drawing can understand the overall space and activity that can happen within my final outcome and its design.

Thresholds
Throughout the semester, the studio focused on finding the threshold and its moments. The discussion within the class allowed me to develop my idea with the threshold of footpath between 2 different things where I believe footpath does not always need to be corridor but the space that was created with walls or columns can be act as a footpath. These are the thresholds that can find from my final project...
