The Harmony Sydenham Apartments

The Harmony Sydenham Apartments is an investigation of the capacity of architectural design to facilitate mixed-use programs within a single space. Central to this investigation are the principles of adaptability, user control, and the enhancement of the overall user experience. This is achieved through reconfiguration of existing systems to enable operability, interaction, and connectivity. By granting a heightened level of autonomy, interactors can personalize and transform the space in accordance with their preferences, fostering an environment that accommodates diverse activities and functions. This intervention involves manipulation of door systems, stair systems, and wall systems.
