Hello, I'm Jarryd. I am an architecture student motivated to be a great designer within the industry. I seek to be technically proficient is to develop budget conscious design solutions, to be considerate materials, structural arrangements and form as to promote a regenerative and sustainable architecture in light of The Anthropocene, and to be committed to avoiding contemporary anthropocentric design responses that promote a consumption culture.
Overture of The Opera Falls
The Opera Fallsprovides multiple performance spaces and facilities for the community, whilst also providing a space for rehabilitation, reflection, and therapy, which is enabled and supported by the celebration of water. As a material in our project, water emphasises qualities such as textures, sounds, and emotions to harness its potential. We’ve allowed water to become a pivotal factor in a majority of our decision making, becoming a tool that organises our scheme.
In the spirit of reconciliation Monash University acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community. We pay our respect to their elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.
