As a design and media communications student, I am driven by a deep passion for using design as a powerful tool for effective and visually compelling communication for sustainability. I firmly believe that we can all actively combat climate change by developing sustainable solutions. My project work across my double degree classes has revolved around the fashion industry, where I've focused on creating accessible tools to help consumers make informed choices, highlighted in 'Wear Aware'. I believe design is the most effective form of communication and can be utilised further to spread climate change knowledge and future sustainability innovations.

Wear Aware

Shaping tomorrow’s wardrobe, today. Scan in store and online to identify the sustainability rating of your clothing before you buy it to combat fast fashion and textile pollution. Accessible for app and browser extension download, the tool scans a clothing item and provides a sustainability rating. This takes into account a series of factors such as sourcing, production, manufacturing and transportation. Equipping consumers with the relevant information to know what they're buying to improve the quality of the environment and people.

The Worry Me Not

The Worry Me Not is an interactive and personal tool kit that allows for one to express their worries in a physical and meaningful way. Designed for all ages, from 5 - 85, this tool kit is for all those who worry. Use the included materials to create your own worry Protector, Keep Safe or Fighter. Choose to battle your worries your way, in a depiction that reflects you. Apply your creativity and personalisation to form a worry outlet, to ease your mind and rely on your creation to deal with your worries for you. The purpose of The Worry Me Not is to discover a world where worries sit elsewhere than the mind, to allow a calm and relaxed body to live life as it was meant to be lived.
