Hi, I’m Anabelle! I am a communication designer who has a passion for harmonising illustration and typography to create my designs. With this, I love to work on brand identity, pattern / textiles, print based applications, social media, photography and more! As mental health is something that is becoming highly known within society, I’ve chosen my final project to be about men’s mental health. My campaign #IAM focuses on encouraging men of all sorts to speak highly about themselves, known as positive self talk. By combining typography and illustration, I have curated a series of printed applications to convey the idea that men deserve kind words too.

#IAM: Poster Series

This poster series is the core component of this campaign. Each poster highlights a different affirmation which aims to encourage men to speak highly of themselves and create a positive mindset.

Mental Health Design Research Kit

#IAM began with research to dive into mens mental health, and gain an understanding about mental health as a whole. As this is shown in most individuals, I decided to capture a range of answers by asking a diverse group of men who were open into sharing their experiences with their mental health.

Research Infographic Poster

In collaboration with the Design Research Kit, this infographic poster helped guide me into the development of my campaign. Using answers from the research kit, I designed an infographic broken up into different sections which helped me understand what men were feeling emotionally, how they have been supported, and what they need additional support in.

#IAM: Take What You Need

The ‘take what you need’ poster requires interactions with men within the community. This poster encourages men to get involved and take an affirmation that resonates with them the most.

#IAM: Mural Wall

Designed for a public space setting, this piece is to help make the community actively engage with this campaign. The mural is to help show men in the community that it is okay to speak highly of themselves.
