My name is Ben Squires and I am a designer with an interest in 3 dimensional environments, motion graphics, brand identity and augmented/virtual reality.

I’m interested in applying symmetry and op-art aesthetics in order to generate striking branding visual applications by integrating 3 dimensional content alongside more established print and visual communication methods.

'Iris Branding'

In an attempt to combine the different areas of study from my last semester, particularily motion design and 3D modelling, I chose to make a brand identity and presence around a AR headset I modelled in fusion and intergrated experience from my motion graphics work to generate animated digital posters.

The headset was developed in Fusion 360 and I then used Blender to animate and render the animation sequences.

WWF Rebrand

This project was undertaken as part of my Branding for Designers class and focused on rehauling a brand. My given brand was the WWF (World Wildlife Fund). We were tasked with a full makeover for the brand including a logo, brandbook and intergrating that rebrand into different applications.

I used my knowledge with 3D software to generate more convincing mockups and successfuly intergrated that into the project.

Museum of Album Artwork

For this project we had to create applications and an identity for a Museum of a subject of our choosing. I chose to create “The Museum of Album Artwork” and created posters, tickets, logo and merchandise to accompany the brand.

In the two examples here, I created a milk crate for storing records with the logo embossed into the side. I also created a stencil outline.
