Hello, I'm Carrie, a passionate visual communication designer with a keen interest in branding, typography, and the fashion industry. I believe that design is not just about making things look good; it's about conveying a message, evoking emotions, and creating meaningful connections. Branding has been a particular focus of my work. I love the challenge of distilling a company's essence into a memorable visual identity. Whether it's a sleek corporate logo or a vibrant, edgy fashion brand, I'm dedicated to crafting designs that leave a lasting impression.
Melbourne Cinematheque 2024
My proposed identity for the Melbourne Cinémathèque draws inspiration from the CCD camera, which is a charge-coupled device. This camera gives a sense of old nostalgia, and the pictures. This old-fashioned and nostalgic style is a fitting link to the theme of the Melbourne Cinémathèque. So I referenced this vague, high-dryness point to the overall identity. and also draws inspiration from the closing sequence of the movie, where the lights blink like an eye and then the whole curtain goes black. The calendar also uses the same inspiration; I put a high noise in the white paper as the background and used the same effect as the title page for each heading of the season.
Sence Of Place - Paris Tourist Map
I made a map to make travelling across Paris easier for me. I did some research before I visited, but the information wasn't very obvious in writing. As a result, I chose to feed it to illustrate, making it easy for me to quickly determine which attractions are in different areas and to access the official website of each attraction directly through this website—a really useful feature for anybody visiting Paris.
Slowstyle to promote slow fashion
I designed the website to promote and educate about slow fashion and to urge the audience to choose slow fashion and to learn more about slow fashion brands through this platform and to make it easier for the audience to buy slow fashion brands.
Rebrand The China Past Is Present Exhibition
The main theme for the new brand is to Promote Traditional Chinese Culture; Preserve Traditional Techniques, Educate Customers and Support Skilled Artisans
Sunglasses packaging
I used the principle of sunglasses in the packaging, the shell is hard and black to protect the sunglasses inside, just like sunglasses protect the eyes, the soft fabric cover inside represents the eyes, and the colour I chose is black on the shell and bright yellow on the inside to give the audience a bright feeling, and the packaging is removable, so you can carry the yellow packaging inside with you, or you can bring it with you. The hard case can be kept in the bag to prevent it from being crushed. I chose to use cartoon eyes and some cartoon patterns on the pattern of the packaging to show that it is a sunglasses packaging and also to reflect the joyful emotion.
