Hey, I'm Oli! I'm a graphic designer and video artist passionate about making fun, colourful, and authentically retro outcomes. Interested in motion design, posters, branding, and events, my skills extend across the Adobe Suite and into the physical realm of print, VHS, and all things analogue. I love working with bands to create exciting visual content for social media and live performances. I find working within a specific design style or branding guidelines provides an exciting challenge and an opportunity for me to develop my design practice. Let's make something together! Feel free to reach out for a chat.

'Design Research Kit: Journey to Adulthood'
As a precursor to the Activation campaign, I designed and created a Design Research Kit (DRK) to be sent out to 10 participants that investigated their relationship with age and growing up. I included stickers to answer multiple choice questions and encouraged respondents to draw their answers where possible. I wanted to create thought-provoking prompts that allowed them to reflect on their journey to adulthood as I believed this would help extract meaningful data from which I could then decide the direction my campaign would take.
Created as part of my Advanced Motion unit, this logo reveal was for a fictional company called Stonefruit who specialises in visual installations for concerts and festivals. They use CRT TVs and old analogue equipment in their practice and so I wanted their logo to have a retro feel. The design features red, green, and blue as a reference to the television pixel, which lies at the core of Stonefruit’s practice. A modern feel was achieved through smooth and zippy motion, reflecting the company’s commitment to speed and quality.
'Little Food Festival - The Food System'
This animated explainer video created for the Little Food Festival aims to educate children on the food system and the journey their food goes on before being eaten. It also highlights the importance of reducing food waste and the impact that the food we buy has on the planet. As requested by the client, the video must feature positive messaging and avoid focusing on the looming threat of the climate crisis. Because of this, a fun and colourful palette was chosen alongside a cheerful lineup of characters to keep the video engaging yet informative throughout.
