Hi! I am Shulei Cao, a determined designer with a wide range of skills in various design disciplines. I have experience in creating captivating illustrations, eye-catching logos, and striking poster designs. My journey in the design world has been incredibly exciting. In this work show, you will find a collection of my works, from detailed research design posters to rebranding projects infused with a unique cultural touch. Every piece I create is the result of pouring my heart and soul into a process fueled by my rooted passion. I thrive on the challenge of bringing innovative and imaginative concepts to life, pushing the boundaries of visual communication.
Air Pollution: Remember, there's no planet B!
The project design is on the topic of air pollution. The concerning factors of this grave concern led to in-depth research and creating awareness through posters, surveys, and publications. The bushfires in Australia made me drift towards this concerning topic and derive it into a design variable. The findings are very intimate and serious and have a long-lasting effect on the future of Earth. Always remember, there is no planet B. At least for now. Kindly have a look at the poster!
Advertising Design
Sorbent is a toilet paper that constitutes an immense care of softness with a pampering quality in effect. This advertisement is to promote the toilet paper brand, whose history dates back to 1952. A certified eco-friendly product with a silky white smooth texture. This design is incorporated with a color theme that enhances a sense of pleasure and peace. This brand promises quality delivery to the customers, as their promise says, "Always soft, always strong"!
Branding for Designers
With the cultural roots of silk dating back to the mid-15th century in China, the idea to redesign the logo for 'China National Silk Museum' was on board. Redesigning a logo enhanced the vision of my creative research. The deep connectivity has driven the verge to dismantle and reconstruct certain visual impacts. The color blue signified a sense of peace in the civilization, and the dress signified the flow of silk in a most positive sense. Hence, a minimalistic design is the output in the end. Illustrative Design - National Cat Day
On May 20, National Cat's Day, I knocked on the door of my creative perspective to show the beauty of these cute little pets. I always loved cats and their beautiful purrs. This led to the illustration of thoughts to represent them in graphic digitalization. The design is in yellow monotonous duo tonic dominance, creating a sense of elegance for the pets. The design shows various moments of cats that are caught in the imaginary visions of my mind. Save the pets and let us make a street with no cats!
Typography - A loop
Typography is one of the most intriguing concepts in the design world. The design presented enthralled me enough to develop a mission to blend with curves. The design shows the loop-type form and retains the submissive black color palette, highlighting the white letters. The installation with core precision on the curved bands opens a view of my creative masterpiece as a designer. This subject made me explore various types of forms, making it a habitual interest in my free time. Have a peek at the design!
Stencil Duplication
Stencil Duplication Work: According to me, stencil duplication is a set of artwork that relates to playing with the alphabets. This work is a fading overlay of creative work that is done out of passion. From the alphabets A to Z, all the letters have been carved using the stencil, with the use of a variant of light red and a blend of light blue. The output is a beautiful, systematic display of English alphabets. have a roll of eyes on the piece of this creative artwork.
