Hi, I'm Yiying, a communication designer from China who is passionate about creating captivating and impactful designs for real-life issues.

I am interested in branding, packaging design, and web design. My specialisation in these areas offers me a wealth of experience in tailoring unique brand experiences that resonate profoundly with audiences. I recognize that design isn't merely a visual medium, it's a powerful language for narrating stories and eliciting emotions. If you have any questions or are looking for collaboration, please feel free to contact me. We can harness the power of design to create a better world together.

Time Bender — Card Game

In today's society, many people are procrastinators. I am also a procrastinator and have missed many opportunities because of it. Like most procrastinators, I am desperate to change this behaviour, which is why I chose this topic. The aim of my campaign is to help procrastinators make fundamental changes, so I chose a card game as the main outcome. I hope to change the habit of procrastination in a subtle way by making the game fun and educational.

Time Bender — Card Game

The front of the card game box continued the design of the card front with the addition of the "NOW" logo on the top and bottom of it. I presented "now" in the form of an electronic clock, urging the user to start now.

Time Bender — Mobile App

I connected the card game to the mobile app, where users can upload their achievements to the community and share them with others. After completing the task, the mobile app will help you automatically collect this card to complete the task for the day. The mobile app also includes features such as making plans and timing to help users avoid procrastination.

Time Bender — Social Media

In order to reach a wider audience for my campaign, I chose to use social media to promote my card game and app. My target audience is more likely to learn about my campaign from social media than from posters.

Card game photos were used directly in the posts so that users could visualise the campaign more clearly.

Design Research Kit

In order to better explore this topic, I created a DRK on procrastination that included respondents' time management and their perceptions of procrastination.

The data collected from DRK showed that the majority of respondents engaged in procrastination. I calculated their frequency of procrastination and reasons. Almost everyone in the kit has tried to overcome procrastination. This led me to think about how I could help them overcome procrastination in an easy and effective way. My DRK gave me more accurate data to provide direction to my campaign outcomes.
