ADHD is often misunderstood as “A hyperactive boy running around the classroom and couldn't sit still”. However, it's essential to recognize that ADHD is a neurological condition that can persist into adulthood, affecting various aspects of life. One notable challenge is the ability to shift attention quickly, which can become critical in a driving context, where losing a split second’s attention can take lives. To address these issues, Urbot, a voice-assisted driving companion robot, is designed with the primary goal of enhancing driver convenience and safety. Without sacrificing engagement, it features human-like facial features to facilitate interaction, just like having a co-pilot aside.
