Monash Art, Design and Architecture Graduate Exhibition 2023

As a designer, I enjoy working at the intersection of spatial/ interior, graphic, and industrial design, and applying skills across all fields to create end-to-end projects. I am most interested in the ability to design for different publics and unknown others, to improve their quality of living while challenging the ways in which people interact with and inhabit space. I hope to evoke an emotional response through space-making that provokes an exploration into the playful, the whimsical, and our inner, fascinated child.

'What You Bring to the Table'

Situated as a series of temporary installations at the Melbourne International Coffee Expo, this project seeks to address waste issues around the single-use coffee cup. It aims to utilize a collection of coffee grounds to produce ceramic coffee cups and plates, replacing the single-use coffee cups at the expo. After its use, participants are invited to stack them in designated areas to create tables, offering wider expo audiences a space to slow down and converse. The project seeks to become a reminder that we must utilize cross-industry collaborations to achieve a working circular economy; an awareness and understanding of past processes to better inform future product life cycles.
