Chloe Selsick is a collaborative designer with a background in fine art. With her range of experience she believes in a holistic and multidisciplinary approach to design, with an emphasis on strong conceptual outcomes. She works primarily in communication design, and enjoys branding, packaging and publication design.
Outstanding Project: Collaborative Design
The Insectory
The Insectory is a project that aims to shift the way we view and think about bugs. The outcome consists of an “Insectory” - which is a directory of bugs, and highlights their incredible skills and jobs in our ecosystems. Within each insect’s page there is a business flyer, which shows a ‘job’ that insect could do in the framework of a world where insects and humans have equality. These jobs are speculative, and seek to question the ways we view and think about bugs and other creepy crawlies.
In the spirit of reconciliation Monash University acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community. We pay our respect to their elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.
