A good design is the best way to communicate! It takes every element of a message - language, intent, purpose and more to convey it simply. However, the process of creating a good design is far from simple and that I've painfully but gladly learnt in the past two at Monash. I'm Sanvidha Rajesh, an international student from India and here are some of my works -
'Secrets Reborn - Title Sequence Animation'
In the final semester, one of the brief for Multimedia Studio 3 was to create a title sequence animation with a theme of city-based espionage drama. I took inspiration from a movie (Kantara) based out of my homeland in Karnataka and imagined its sequel as a TV series for this project.
With warm tones, some interpretative motifs and some inventive illustrations, this is Secrets Reborn - A Legacy of Espionage.
Softwares used: Adobe Illustrator, Adobe After Effects
As a huge fan of the sport and someone who dreams of putting her skills to work in this field, one of my final Multimedia Studio projects had to be based on cricket.
Since the topic was something I was comfortable with, I decided to push my boundaries and challenge myself by choosing to make it entirely 3D. This is only my second time working with 3D design after learning the basics in Year 1.
Borrowing the basic design scheme from the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023, this is my attempt at creating a broadcast opener for the tournament.
Those reels on Instagram or TikToks that manage to make words on screen dance to the rhythm of the voiceovers or poetry of their meaning have always fascinated me.
So, as a part of the brief, when we could choose from 7 quotes, my designer senses tingled for just this one and I could almost instantly picture it merging with the images in my head and form a perfect harmony.
Here’s my attempt at making one of those reels I so admire -

With a background in Media and Communications and a strong interest in videography, attending the Digital Audio/Video unit for 2 semesters was the best part of the Master’s experience.
This showreel displays 7 different and advanced technique of filming that played a crucial role in understanding design better. It helped me learn, appreciate and develop a wholistic approach towards creating a multimedia design projects.
I’m not a “sneaker-head” and thus, when the brief required me to create an Australian themed sports shoes for the Brisbane Olympics 2028, I was hoping for some miracle to save me.
And that miracle was meticulous research, several feedbacks, multiple reworks and a few sleepless nights, or what I’m told (and now believe) is an average designer’s life.
In the end, this process felt extremely gratifying - to wade into uncharted territory and create something that I didn’t believe I could truly developed my confidence.
Here’s a stylescape of the designer shoe I’ve created under the ASICS brand -
