Receipts and dockets timestamp a fleeting transaction and a visual language that transpires through printed inks and pigments. These seemingly mundane and discarded slips of paper become the foundation of my work. I repurpose these overlooked materials whilst subtly retaining their printed narrative through translated gestures.
My work follows a process of collecting, tearing, pulping, reconfiguring, assembling, printing and reprinting. These materially curious and process-driven acts reimagine the collected receipts into hand-made papers that are layered with experimental printing methods to create ambiguous textures, that are at once contemporary and relic.
