Stephanie Samartzis

I aim to explore portraiture and landscape interchangeably, using oil paint and a limited palette. In a state of flux, the intervention of cropping paintings throughout my practice employs the idea of an alternate or indeterminate space. I also seek to analyse my personal cultural heritage and agency as a student through various motifs in my painting.
