Hi there. I am Vanessa Atika, a future architect and interior designer who is passionate about creating diverse spaces to cater to persons living with disability/ neurological conditions such as Autism. With a bachelor’s in Spatial Design and a Masters in Architecture, I hope to hone my skills further to create well-thought-of design inclusive spaces
NYUMBANI
Nyumbani, a Swahili word meaning home. Focusing on young professionals aged 25 - 40, this project envisions creating vibrant residential communities where architectural innovation meets human connection. The design embraces the dynamic interplay between flexibility, allowing spaces to evolve with the needs of their inhabitants while fostering meaningful interactions. Most Importantly, this project aims to prioritize wellbeing by incorporating psychological insights into our design, ensuring that every home supports the mental, emotional, and physical health of its residents.
In the spirit of reconciliation Monash University acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community.
