Monash Art, Design and Architecture Graduate Exhibition 2024

Hi, I'm Nikole! I'm a graphic designer interested in branding, publication and mixed-media design. I love integrating analogue and digital tools in my design outcomes drawing inspiration from my passion for fine art.

My recent study tour at Monash Prato Centre has widened my design perspective, especially through my collaborative design outcome, a workshop inspired by Italy's cultural relationship to food.

FISSO

FISSO is an organisation that can equip anyone with the skills to sustain the Italian cuisine, giving them a sense of reassurance in cooking, as ingredients become limited or non-existent in the future due to climate change.
Through collaborative cooking workshops, events and community gardening, FISSO aims to preserve and innovate Italian cuisine for a more positive outlook on the future.

More information on this project can be found on: fisso-italia.cargo.site

FISSO promotional posters

Minimal, abstract and contrasting designs are used in the posters to draw attention to the organisation.

Melbourne Cinémathèque 2025 - Identity

This project focused on creating a new identity for Melbourne Cinémathèque 2025.
Inspired by the handmade process of celluloid filmaking, varying colourful abstract shapes were key design elements for the new identity.

Melbourne Cinémathèque 2025- Identity Process

Various coloured Sharpies were used to draw coloured squares which were cut out to resemble translucent celluloid film. Drawing on the imperfections like dots and scratches seen in films made in this way, a toothpick was used to make scratches on the sheets.
Each square was scanned and layered in Photoshop to create compositions of floating shapes that interacted with each other, creating new colours.

Melbourne Cinémathèque - Seasonal Screens

Each seasonal screen correlated with a unique single colour. Layering and transparency were explored in the composition of each screen.
