Design is just as much about the journey as it is the destination. I am a bold and
dynamic designer, who loves to push boundaries, and has always
been extremely experimental in my creative career. I love finding unconventional
methods to produce my design outcomes, often using a more tactile approach to
produce work.
I have taken a keen interest in advanced motion graphics, and have spent the last few
years developing and discovering new ways to animate and create fascinating
audiovisual outcomes. I have a love for design innovation, and through a blend of my
advanced technical skillset and unconventional creativity, I love producing loud,
impactful pieces that can speak for themselves.

Outstanding Project: Activation

The Art of Analogue Animation

This is a motion outcome I created by using entirely analogue
animation techniques blended with digital editing to create a unique
but contemporary piece of work. It used techniques such as
scratching on film, claymation, laser cutting frames out of plywood,
shattering glass sheets, ink printing, oil painting and more. It was a
deep dive into what gives animation its heart, stemming from tactile,
frame-by-frame techniques. Every segment has hours of work
behind it, completed with the physical materials around me, and my
two hands.

Jazz Junction Animated Poster Series

Jazz Junction is a fictional jazz night held at the fictional Brickhouse
bar every Saturday at 7:30pm in Melbourne city! I created a series of
animated posters that promote the November lineup, with bands
such as Syncopation Station and the Chromatic Cats. The posters
are created as a loop, to be displayed on digital signage in public,
or as promotional posts on social media.

‘FREE AFGHAN WOMEN’ POSTER SERIES

‘Free Afghan Women' is a campaign raising awareness on the
current human rights crisis ongoing in Afghanistan. I found the
gender apartheid in Afghanistan that condemns women and girls is
scarcely covered in Australian media, and wanted to find a way to
advocate for the forgotten women of Afghanistan. One outcome I
developed is 5 part poster series, that leads the public to a
collection of stories that come straight from women living in
Afghanistan through the women’s rights organisation ‘V-DAY.’

‘FREE AFGHAN WOMEN’ POSTER SERIES

I used a lot of hand-painting techniques to create these posters;
particularly, the typography was a font I created by painting with ink
on paper. The illustrative posters were created by using gouache to
paint each seperate element, which l then digitised to compose the
final posters.

‘FREE AFGHAN WOMEN’ STICKER SERIES

I created a series of stickers: two have QR codes that lead you to
AmnestyInternational.org and HumanRightsWatch.org where the
general public can access current, up-to-date news on the crisis in
Afghanistan, as well as credible information on the history, the
current effects on women and girls and more. Some of the stickers
are also simply illustrative, where people can adorn them on
personal items to show their support.

‘FREE AFGHAN WOMEN’ INFORMATION PAMPHLET

I created an information pamphlet to be left in public spaces. This is
to easily disseminate a base level of information regarding the
situation in Afghanistan, and providing avenues for individuals to
discover more, as well as reputable organisations that people could
donate to. This used a lot of the same illustrations that I used to
create the stickers to establish a sense of cohesiveness across the
outcomes. I also used similar techniques as in the posters, by hand
painting illustrations and elements to be brought in to the desgin
digitally.
