The Chrysalis Regeneration Pod is a speculative design that is centred around the question, what if humans were able to harness their energy back into the Earth, essentially giving back all that we have taken from it? It proposes a system in which symbiosis is at the core of the relationships between the design and the user, and it intends to blur the line between host and inhabitant. It exists to protect humans from the uninhabitable natural world around them, and provides them breathable oxygen. In return humans support the tree by harnessing their own energy sources and redistributing them back to the tree, via an intravenous system that connects to the mycorrhizal network of the tree.
