As an emerging designer and maker, I draw inspiration from the fields I’m most passionate about. My work in spatial, furniture, interior, and graphic design have helped me create an idea of what an interdisciplinary designer can look like, as well as the unique perspective on design that can bring. I use this base of experience as ‘Source’ when approaching new projects.

Vertigo Renaissance

Access to public spaces where we can fully release the playful energy of our body and spirit are becoming increasingly scarce. In a future where health and safety regulations along with public liability policies have increased; the excitement, element of risk, and opportunity to challenge oneself have been removed from our areas of play. In this speculative design into the future of play, Vertigo Renaissance investigates the concept of vertigo and imagines a space that champions the value of risk in an urban landscape.

Utilising emerging piezoelectric technology, kinetic energy harnessed from movement within the playground is converted into electricity that powers the lights of the building. The luminance emitted acts as a barometer for the play that takes place inside. Acting as a beacon for the rest of the city.

Exploration into spatial design through the use of topography is shown here in the design of the ground floor.
