The demand of food is on an increasingly fast rise, though food waste and food insecurity continue to be prevalent in exceeding numbers. With the uprise of In Vitro food processes, upcycling, aquaponics, urban farming, and automated and biotech food production, our role as designers is key in promoting a sustainably positive food future. The students develop innovative ways of augmenting food systems and the human body and explore the creative potentials of science and technology to push the limits of body, food and space.
