As a passionate spatial design student, I am dedicated to creating engaging and sustainable environments that encourage social interaction.

For my final studio “The Future of Play”, I focused on how design addresses the challenges posed by the reduction of playful public spaces in urban environments. My project, “Aerial Playscape”, explores vertical play spaces in densely populated cities where ground-level space is limited. Through my work, I aim to transform urban landscapes into vibrant, interactive spaces that bring people together.

Aerial Playscape

The Aerial Playscape reimagines the unused space between two buildings at Monster Building in Hong Kong, transforming it into a vibrant area for play. This innovative design turns a dense urban gap into a lively, multi-level environment that encourages play, exploration, and community connection.

User Needs Analysis

Life inside Hong Kong’s Monster Building involves adapting to extremely small spaces, often 100-300 square feet, where spaces serve multiple functions. This limited personal space creates a strong need for public areas, where residents can gather, socialize, and enjoy life outside their compact apartments.
