Yuzhi Lin is a spatial designer captivated by the interplay between perception and environment. Driven to create spaces that challenge conventional boundaries, Yuzhi envisions architectures that respond dynamically to human interaction. Fascinated by sculptural forms and adaptive, organic materials, Yuzhi’s work explores themes of urban flux and emotional resonance.

With a foundation in experimental design, Yuzhi’s structures encourage users to engage physically and mentally, transforming familiar settings into immersive experiences that deepen one’s connection to their surroundings.

The Ripple

Amidst rapid urbanization and mounting social challenges, The Ripple emerges as a visionary waterfront structure that fosters community engagement and connection. At its heart are adaptive ramps that respond to the pace of movement, transforming a simple walk into an interactive journey, where each step creates a ripple effect that shapes the environment.

Perspective View

Inspired by the fluidity of water, The Ripple symbolizes the interconnectedness of human activity and nature, serving as a reminder of our shared responsibility for sustainable living. By reimagining urban experiences, it offers a fresh perspective on community and connection in the future city.

Exploded Axonometric

The ramps are connected in numerical order from 1 to 9. Visitors will enter the main structure from Ramp 1, which is connected to the entrance, and will finish their tour by descending the ramp structure at Ramp 9. Between Ramps 1 and 3, there are structures connected to the observation deck.
