Monash Art, Design and Architecture Graduate Exhibition 2024

Aliza Nickle is an emerging artist learning and creating on Bunurong Country. Aliza explores her family’s intergenerational creative practices. Her work specifically honours her grandparents’ approaches to ceramics, sculpture and collage examining how inherited knowledge and shared stories shape her visual and material language. Through repetitive, labour-intensive processes with both manufactured and handmade materials, she embeds meaning in the act of making, opening a dialogue on lineage, connection, and creative inheritance.
