Elie Rawlinson is an interdisciplinary artist currently practising in Naarm (Melbourne). Their practice involves chemical sculpture, audio-visual media, and text-based publications. Conceptually, they are focused on discursives surrounding the transience of identity and experiences of queer people and its manifestations within cis-hetero-patriarchy, problematising the relationship between artist and spectator. This presents itself through positionality, along with the manipulation of material and process as a form of narrative.
