Myah Rae's work incorporates abstract expressionist charcoal and ink drawings. Her work reveals raw human expressions often hidden or overlooked, with faces and figures emerging from organic, gestural marks. Each piece invites viewers to look deeper, capturing both the fleeting motion and enduring emotion of human connection and experience.

The Distance of Us, Seen and Unseen

Myah's work reveals faces emerging from chaotic scribbles, capturing fleeting, hidden expressions we often overlook in daily life. Using charcoal and ink on board and wall surfaces, she layers abstract lines and shapes to create portraits that feel both spontaneous and deeply intentional. Each face is concealed and revealed within the scribbles, reflecting the complexity and subtlety of human emotion. This technique allows viewers to discover different expressions as they study the piece, encouraging them to find new interpretations with each glance.
