This semester, As a studio we have been looking at all the current issues and limitations that come with the rezoning and redevelopment of land in Cranbourne's 'Botanic Ridge'. Currently there are many issues with Botanic Ridges development, and sadly ecology has not been prioritised in the redevelopment.
My project looks at combating the housing crisis by introducing medium density housing into this area, however the key driver of this project is the ecology and designing housing that supports and allows the Endangered Southern Brown Bandicoot to thrive.
In the spirit of reconciliation Monash University acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community.
