Hello, I'm Jocelyne — an industrial designer who likes to explore how design can foster meaningful interactions between people, objects, and systems. My work seeks to balance functionality with emotional and cultural depth—crafting designs that serve and inspire reflection and wonder.

Projects such as Trail of Wonders reflect my interest in experiential and speculative design, where storytelling and tangible form merge to reimagine how we connect, learn, and play. Through research-led exploration and iterative prototyping, I aim to create work that bridges imagination with everyday life.

Trail of Wonders

Trail of Wonders is a treasure-map–inspired board game designed to strengthen parent–child relationships through shared, playful exploration. Combining physical props, interactive cards, and a spinner, the game transforms everyday environments into imaginative adventures. Players follow a map, complete creative activities, and uncover “wonders” along the way. Through storytelling, design thinking, and tactile interaction, Trail of Wonders invites families to connect, play, and rediscover curiosity together.

Tools of Discovery

At the heart of the game lies the compass — a playful spinner that decides where the next adventure begins. Surrounding it, tactile props invite imagination and interaction, encouraging both children and parents to engage physically and emotionally. Each piece is designed with simplicity and warmth, supporting intuitive, hands-on exploration.

The World of Wonders

This composition reveals the full system of Trail of Wonders: the map, spinner, cards, and props working together as one interconnected experience. Each element was designed to complement the others, creating a sense of rhythm and flow between chance, choice, and discovery. The exploded layout highlights the coherence of the visual language and user journey.

Zones of Connection

The Trail is divided into six “Talent Zones,” each focusing on a different way families connect and grow together — creativity, curiosity, movement, kindness, storytelling, and discovery. These zones guide the activities throughout the game, balancing learning and play. They represent the diverse paths through which children explore and express themselves.

The Moment of Wonder

The scratch-off reward system adds a layer of excitement and surprise to the game. Each completed activity leads to a hidden “wonder” that players reveal together — a small but meaningful celebration of shared effort. This tactile interaction reinforces anticipation, joy, and bonding through a simple yet satisfying ritual.
